oneforty - a quick review
Ok, so I consider myself lucky and obtained a invite code to the beta of oneforty.com - The Twitter outfitter. Or, as everyone is saying since it launched, a Twitter app store.
Two things immediately struck me after being on the site for a bit:
1. I was absolutely caught up in the applications that were listed and found myself visiting these sites and trying out certain apps
2. From a business model standpoint, I struck me that this is one of the only Twitter related launches in recent memory that isn't dependent on the API, or firehouse.
It's just a simple directory of apps that may or may not be useful to the site visitor. And, being an avid Twitter and Twitter app user, I find it to be very useful.
So, my initial reaction is that this could be HUGE. I can definitely see apps paying for premium listings, product launch campaigns within this venue and much, much more.
