I've used a lot (A LOT!) of products when they were in their alpha and beta stages. Its something I really enjoy. And, most of the time, I come away with mixed feelings - that there's lots of work to be done before it can be released into the wild.
Threadsy immediately struck me as different. Why? Because in a matter of 10 minutes, I came to realize that I no longer needed the other 4 browser windows open in order to maintain my Twitter, Facebook, Yahoo & Gmail accounts. Threadsy was displaying them and refreshing the screen regularly to show updates, replies and more. Even better, I now have biographies to go with many of the people in my email boxes. It seems that Threadsy puts a face to email when such biographical information exists on the Internet.
I had the pleasure to meet with Rob Goldman (CEO) briefly at his office before he presented at TechCrunch 50. He is an impressive individual and after seeing him present, its no wonder that Threadsy earned a 2nd place nod.
I see lots of potential for Threadsy in the future and many paths to definitive revenue. I have my own ideas, but I'm sure Rob and his team are well ahead of me.
